Two-time Olympic gold medalist and FIFA World Cup soccer star Abby Wambach has been added to the 2019 Spring Leadership Lecture Series at Dominican University of California on Wednesday, April 17.
Wambach will join philanthropist and businesswoman Melinda Gates, New York Times columnist and political commentator David Brooks, former Barack Obama senior advisor Valerie Jarrett, and Jason Rezaian, former Tehran bureau chief for the Washington Post in appearing at Dominican. Rezaian spoke at Dominican on January 28.
The series is presented by Dominican’s Institute for Leadership Studies in partnership with Book Passage.
All lectures are held in Dominican’s Angelico Concert Hall. Doors open one hour prior to the programs. Free parking is available in the Conlan Center parking lot at the intersection of Acacia and Grand Avenues.
• Valerie Jarrett. • Melinda Gates. Monday, May 6, at 7 p.m. Co-chair of the world’s largest philanthropy, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the global advocate for women and girls discusses her heroes and her awakening to the link between women’s empowerment and the health of societies in her book The Moment of Lift.
