As part of Dominican’s Democracy and Equity Initiative, the University will host a “Make Marin Count” 2020 Census Awareness on Tuesday, September 25, from 5:30-8 p.m. in Guzman Lecture Hall.
The event is co-sponsored by Dominican, the Canal Alliance, and the Marin Community Foundation.
Panelists scheduled to attend are Dr. Robert Eyler, Chief Economist for the Marin Economic Forum; Paul M. Cohen, Principal of PMCohen Public Affairs and political consultant; Lia Bolden, Partnership Specialist for the U.S. Census Bureau in the San Francisco Bay Area; and Kristen Drumm, Senior Planner for the Marin County Community Development Agency.
The goal is to raise awareness of the importance of cross-sector collaboration to ensure a complete and accurate census and the magnitude of the census challenge to engage government, education, nonprofit organizations, philanthropy, and business in that outreach and collaboration.
